Geological Refurbishings For Your House

A friend sent me this image:


I haven't made much use of geological motifs in my house. This is the farthest I have gone:


A Precambrian  chert cemented conglomerate from the west coast Konkan region and a giant Nautilus from the Cretaceous of South India stop the balcony door from being slammed shut by the monsoon winds.

    ha ha ... yeah, not counting rocks as 'decorations' I think the only geological item I'm actually using to do something useful is for a paperweight.

    That sink is awesome!

    I can imagine though geologists using elements more stylistically than my door stopper :)
