I came here searching for the rock type beneath Mumbai because I was reading articles on potential submerging of the city's parts due to climate change in future and possible causes, symptons etc. Was shocked to know how little information is available publicly on the Web regarding Mumbai's geology. Thank you so much for this write-up!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5859094080858570248.post-87507430862114967182020-08-27T08:35:50.093+05:302020-08-27T08:35:50.093+05:30Too expensive I think. I found your article on the geology ...Dear Mr.Kher,
I found your article on the geology of mumbai very interesting.

I was wondering whether a cavern can be constructed to store rain water. As it haapens most of the rain water flows away into the sea.
Additionally the drainage issueduring tides is a persistent perrenial evergreen threat. The cavern could be an answer to this problem. It would alsoalleviate at least partly, the water supply issues.

A similar cavern system has been constructed below Tokyo to address their rainwater flooding issues successfully.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05184362507158952608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5859094080858570248.post-79130623459827334302019-06-07T01:05:53.518+05:302019-06-07T01:05:53.518+05:30Lovely post!!

Anything else?
For context I am an engineer with a newfound interest in hydrogeology. Would like something interesting like Indica by Pranay Lal.vivek grewalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12086257225939632823noreply@blogger.com
